GMRS Radio – From FUN to EMERGENCY

This is an overview of the General Mobile Radio Service radios.  GMRS radios are used for family and friends to communicate with each other.  And they are used for Emergency Communications.

In Johnson County, with assistance from the Buffalo Amateur Radio Klub and the Johnson County Commissioners we have two repeaters in the county that extend our capabilities as a community to respond to emergency communications needs.
